Run, Drive, Sleep? Repeat.

Okay, so let me explain the title of this blog. This past weekend I participated in the largest relay race in the state of Utah, The Wasatch Back. Thanks to my amazing sister Kimmi for inspiring me last year when she ran it! I thought if she could do it, so could I. Well it was a 181 mile race from Logan to Park City. With 12 runners each running three legs. I was runner number 4. Our team name was "SERIOUSLY" because who would "seriously" run this thing?! How hard can it be? Ha! Ha! Ha! Well, I think the pictures tell it all...


This is Van 1... dang, we look so cute before the start! Even though we only got three and a half hours of sleep! Our start time was 7:40 am.


Velvet, Jen and I got matching "cute" outfits just incase we had to walk. We thought maybe people would say "cute outfit" instead of "oh look... she's walking!"


I love my Ty! He took the two days and followed us around. He took 744 pictures! I was so glad to have him with me!


I'm ready! This is right before I started my first run. (5.6 miles-moderate- ascending Avon Pass.)


My Ty kept a close eye on me, always offering me some water!

So this turned out to be slightly exhausting! This is where I got my 30 minute nap before my next run!


Okay, check out my awesome sister, who just had a baby 5 weeks ago, that came to watch my 2nd run.(3.1 miles-easy somewhere in Morgan!) I loved that she ran about 100 yards with me in her flip flops!



So your required to wear a head lamp and vest after 8:00 pm. It was not the "cutest" look, but I was glowing!


Thanks to my awesome fans for coming out at all hours of the night and day to watch me run! Ha! Ha!



This is my last run. Running up the south side of Jordanelle. (5.0 miles-hard) I am so excited because it was my hardest run and I ran the whole thing!


My second "Road Kill" on my last run. I only passed 2 people on this leg and one was walking!!!

We're done! Our time was 31:31:12. Wahoo! Not bad for an all female team that has never done this before.


Introducing team "SERIOUSLY". We had a blast! Apparently none of us learned our lesson because we are registered to do it again next year. Seriously!

Our "GRAND" Sleepover...

Every year when school gets out, "GRAND"ma Jo and "GRAND"pa Ric have a "GRAND" sleepover. This is where the "GRAND"kids go the the "GRAND"parents house and have a "GRAND" pizza dinner, a "GRAND" water fight usually started by "GRAND"pa, a "GRAND" game to play... this year it was guitar hero, a "GRAND" breakfast followed by some "GRAND" artwork on "GRAND"pa and "GRAND"ma's driveway! Thanks "GRAND"ma Jo and "GRAND"pa Ric for the amazing night. We love you!
