It's My Birthday...Shout Hooray!

Okay, so it's my birthday month and I've been singing the birthday song all month long! I think my family is tired of shouting hooray! They have been great to put up with me! I had a great day with breakfast in bed, presents and a special birthday lunch with "the girls". Just when I think I'm spoiled, Ty brought home dinner and then took me shopping. It was awesome!

Pioneer Day Fun

We had a great Pioneer Day. We attended a small carnival with Grandma Jo and Grandpa Ric and all the Aunts, Uncles and Cousins that go along with them! It was hot but we loved the car show, magic show and that amazing balloon art! One of our favorite parts was the strong breeze that blew threw our hair as the Air Med Helicopter landed. It was great on the 100 degree day! The kids liked seeing the helicopter up close, since it is the one that our cousin Ashton got an unexpected ride on. We were so glad Ashton was there with us to see the helicopter! We also enjoyed seeing the Apache Helicopter.

Our 24th of July BBQ was fabulous. After dinner we had a gymnastics show on the front lawn. Cartwheels, head and hand stand contests and tons of somersaults and dive rolls! As you can see we had a blast!

Of course our night ended with an incredible fireworks show! Special thanks to Grandpa Ric for all his fun fountains and spinners. Not to mention, the sparklers and pops that kept us entertained for hours!

We decided that after our fun day we are pretty lucky to have such a great family! We love you all!

Boating At Last!

It seems like it has been forever since we went out on the boat. The kids have been wanting to go since March. Finally, we found a little time to head to Jordanelle. Thank goodness for Big G and Grammie for inviting us to join their boating day! Everyone had a blast. Jaden is definately turning into a great boat driver. Jessica is an amazing tubing girl. Jaxon well let's just say he is getting braver and braver! Thanks for the fun day Grammie and Big G!

Happy 4th of July!

Our 4th of July began early in the morning with Jaden and Ty cooking with the Boy Scouts at the city park. You gotta love a $20 breakfast of burnt pancakes, eggs and hashbrowns! (That was just for Lisa, Jessie and Jaxon to eat!) Of course it was all a fundraiser for the Scouts so it was totally worth it. Following that yummy breakfast we went to the Park City parade. We had a great time eating our slurpees and cheering on all the people that we knew that were in the parade.

Later that evening we went with our friends into the Park City Fire Station. (We have a friend that is a fireman and works there.) We did our own fireworks in the parking lot. The kids loved it. When all the sparklers and spinners were gone, we got up on the roof of the fire station and watched the fireworks from Park City Mountain Resort. It was awesome! We had a great 4th of July!

Superbike Bug

Saturday was the first race at the new Miller Motorsports Park. Now if you know Ty, you know that we would not miss an AMA Superbike race so close to home! So off we went with our sunscreen and chairs. We had a great time watching the bikes race. I think it gave Ty bullet bike fever again!

Hey Dad, can we get one of these?

Check out how tall we are next to this "MONSTEROUS" Truck!

We had a contest to see who could actually get a picture of the motorcycles. When they are going 180 miles per hour it's tricky!

Jessica got a little hot during the last race! Thank goodness it was only 15 laps!

Our Famous Dancers!

Last night Jaden and Jessica had their dance concert. Yes, Jaden too! Jaden breakdances and did a fabulous job especially on his solo. He was amazing with his worm and elbow cartwheels. Jessica performed a ballet dance. She did an incredible job also. Her favorite part was at the end when Ty gave her a dozen roses and the grandma's and grandpa's brought her flowers too. Her room looks and smells wonderful!

Summer Begins

Finally the last day of school! It was totally bitter sweet. Jessica had a great time playing games with her class, while for Jaden it was party, party, party. He is in the graduating class of 2006 for elementary school. That is the "bitter" part for mom! I can't believe he is old enough to go to middle school. There was a "clap out" at the end of school. It is when the 5th graders get to run through all the grades while the classes cheer them on. This year it was raining so they ran through the school and ended up outside with mom's spraying silly string on them. (Or in Jaden's case I followed him through the school taking pictures!) Then there is the "sweet" part. Ty and I can't wait to hang out with our kids this summer. It will be great!
