Hill Air Force Base, Here We Come!

This past Tuesday we were able to go with Grandpa Dick, Kimmi and Bentley to the Air Force Museum to check out the airplanes. It is so cool. I highly recommend visiting the museum, however you might need to go a few times if you have a two year old and a four year old with you! There is so much to see, and when you are Bentley and Jaxon's age...you see it all at a full run! The planes are huge and painted with some pretty fancy art work. Of course, Jaxon's favorites were the blue planes or the ones with sharks on them. Jaxon especially liked when Grandpa was showing them the inside of the planes and telling stories about the guys that fly them. Our visit ended with a special trip to the gift shop, where a big thanks to Grandpa, both boys got a toy plane to remember their visit.

Conference Getaway

We love General Conference weekend! Not only do we get to hear from our church leaders, but Ty and I get a Sunday off from our callings and we seem to escape to St. George with our family. It's always so fun and relaxing. This year wasn't any different. We had a blast, even though it was a bit chilly. We went swimming, bowling, miniature golfing, played air hockey and ping pong, but I think one huge highlight was the claw machine that Jaden and Jessica played. They were able to get stuffed animals for everyone. Seven to be exact! Even Grandma Jo got into it, you should have seen her digging in her purse for more quarters! We had so much fun and are already looking forward to next year!

The Best Race Yet!

Okay, so maybe we are enjoying the running a little more than we should! We ran the best race course last week. However, it didn't start out like it was the best...straight up hill for the first half mile...who signed us up for this?!? But what goes up, must come down, so the last 2 1/2 miles were much better. We started at the capital and ran through Memory Grove and ended at the Galivan Center. (Beautiful course for any runners out there that want to join us next year.) There was even a band at the two mile mark! It was so exciting at the start line with the Grizzle Bear and the Jazz Dancers warming us up, that Jaden and Jessie had to join us for the race. I couldn't believe they did it. I am so proud of them. Jaden ran most of it and Jessie walked with Josh, Kimmi and Bentley. Brad, Tricia and Staci also came with us, along with two of my friends, Lori and Janet. And thanks to Ty and Jaxon, we have these great pictures!

Bryan always gets a spurt of energy that last 1/2 mile...

Leaving me to finish 20 seconds behind him!

This way Jaden!

Jaxon joined Jaden for that last stretch to the finish line.

Thanks Kimmi, for taking care of Jessie. Way to go guys!

Good Morning Mr. Moose

Okay, so we have chipmunks, squirrels and now...a baby moose! I don't know about this Park City living! Yesterday morning just after Jaden and Jessie had left for school Ty spotted a moose eating some willows we have in our yard. He told me to look out to see it. So as I came through the kitchen I noticed that it wasn't eating the willows, it was taking a little snooze right outside our window. This cute 1200 pound baby moose hung out in our yard for a good 20 minutes. (That's pretty long, usually they just walk through!) When it got up to leave there was a HUGE indent on the grass where he had been laying. I guess that's the price you pay when you have "nature" hang out at your house!

Soccer Champs

The soccer season has begun! Every Monday and Thursday you will find us at a soccer field cheering on our new soccer player. Jaxon loves this game. His team name is the Tigers and Ty is one of the coaches. Jaxon gets the game even though at this age they still run in a pack. They played their first game on Thurday and they won! Go Tigers!
