Halloween Week Finale...

Halloween was a non-stop, busy, run around day for us.  From school parties to the ward Trunk-or-Treat. (If I'm lucky, this will be the last year I will be in charge of the Trunk-orTreat!) Then we went home for dinner. Of course it started to rain but we went out anyway for some good old fashioned trick or treating.  We are very grateful it didn't snow!  Jaden went with his friends and I took Jessie, Jaxon and a few of their friends, while Ty stayed home to answer the door and study for his two finals he had on Saturday. We had so much fun and the kids were so cute!

A friend of ours brought her Boa to show off to all the goblins.
She was the hit of the trunk-or-treat!

Our favorite costumes we saw this year...

Dan, our cousin, was a "grandma"

Our friend Lisa was "Deb from Napoleon Dynamite"

Our friend Josh was obviously, "John McCain"

Ewwey Gooey Pumpkin Carving

We totally love carving pumpkins at our house.   This year Jaden and Jessie cleaned and carved their own.  It's kind of nice!  Ty was in charge of Jaxon's and making the pumpkin seeds edible. I was in charge of pictures and getting the candles ready for the pumpkins.  They turned out pretty good and they look so spooky on our front porch!

The Costume Pre-Test

Thank goodness our Halloween parties started early this year.  It gives us a chance to pre-test our costumes.  We are proud to say they ALL worked out great.  We didn't have any adjustments and all items stayed attached while playing the games.

Jaden is a Brighton High Cheerleader.  Thanks to Kimmi for the great idea to borrow her outfit.  He did a great job cheering. "I've got spirit yes I do... I've got spirit how about you?  Go BHS!"

Jessie is a Bad Spirit Cheerleader.  She did a great job keeping a straight face and trying to have a bad attitude.  Although I think she's still pretty cute!

Jaxon is  Optimus Prime.  He told us if we had any bad guys attend our parties, not to worry, he's got it taken care of!  Thanks Jax!  You're the man.

Ty and I dressed up as Harley Riders.  I thought we looked pretty good.  Maybe next time we will actually have a Harley to finish the costume!

Halloween Fun Has Just Begun...

Sunday we attended our annual Grandma Halloween Dinners.  This is one of our favorite activities this time of year.  We started at the Rasch's to eat some Goblin Toes and Skeleton Bones.  Then we played Big G's Halloween Bingo.  Of course it wouldn't be Grammie's party without bobbing for apples!  We had a great time playing games and visiting with everyone.

Then it was off to Grandma Jo's and Grandpa Ric's.  They had their annual soup bar and it was delicious!  This party is always fun because everyone dresses up.  Check out this group of crazy fools...

UEA: Usually an Exciting Adventure

This was a "stay at home" weekend for us.  Jaden had 8 teeth pulled Wednesday and Ty had school, we had to get creative and find entertainment not far from home.  We only had one day that Ty could spend with us, so off to the Aerospace Museum we went.  With a stop at a park on the way there for a little family picnic.  We had a blast!

We really liked the art work on the planes.  It had the name of the plane and many of them kept a tally of how many others they shot down.

After our adventure at the Aerospace Museum we still had some time left in our day. We decided to take the kids to Antelope Island. We have never taken them to see the Great Salt Lake. At first they were not so excited, but when we told them we could walk down to the water and skip rocks, their little attitudes changed and they forgot all about that smell they had been complaining about!

The water is pretty low so we had quite a walk.

Jaxon collected "special" rocks all the way down to the water.

There is something about water that attracts kids and they jump in
within 10 seconds of arrival!

Our walk back to the car seemed really long.
Maybe because everyone was REALLY wet!

I see London, I see France. Who didn't like their really wet pants?

When we got back to the car those who had not already taken off their pants did and sweatshirts went around waists for the ride home. Guess this means we'll be hitting a drive thru instead of Training Table for dinner!

Ty wanted to drive around and see all the buffalo while we were there.  We were trying really hard to get one to look up at us, but they must really like to eat those weeds!

Whenever we have Ty and the camera, there are always some great
shots that I find when I import the pictures.
So once again I give you...

"TY AND HIS CAMERA"

And my favorite...

It's Baaaaack!

After almost 6 months of no "white stuff" on the ground, this past weekend it has returned. The kids are totally stoked. Jaden and Jessie are counting the days until the ski resorts open. In fact they took inventory on their snowboarding equipment to make sure they have everything. (Including getting the songs on their ipods in the right order!) Jaxon just thought it was Christmas and was upset because he hasn't sent his letter to Santa yet. But don't worry, that letter will be in the mail shortly just in case it's really Christmas and everyone is tricking him!

Twilight Count Down

Ok I recognize that I might need some help, and for anyone else that might be recognizing that very same thing,  this is for you!  If you are bored on Thursday night at 9:00 pm (right after Grey's Anatomy)  visit the widget at the bottom of our blog.  It will have the new trailer to the Twilight movie.
