Happy Birthday Little Grandma!
My Grandma just had her 85th birthday. We had a special party for her and everyone in the family was there. Each of us brought a single flower and added it to a vase as we told her why we loved her. She had the biggest bunch of the most beautiful flowers. She is wonderful. We are so lucky to have her!

Yuba Camping 2007
Yuba Lake is always a favorite vacation spot for our family. We get everyone there because it is so close. The beach is great and the water is pretty warm. Jaden loves Uncle Josh to bring his boat. It is the only boat he thinks he can wake board behind. He did a great job this year and he got out of the wake. Check his blog for the play by play pictures! Jessie had a great time also. She likes to dig in the sand. She dug a hole so deep, she hit water! And then there is our Jaxman. He likes to do what everyone else is doing, especially his two cousins Ashton and Bentley. The are definately the "three boys" that will get themselves into trouble!

Ty and I had a fun time golfing. Yes golfing at the lake! Thanks to Uncle Bruce who thought ahead and brought a driver and some golf balls. We hit the balls into the lake. It made for some great laughs! This absolutely needs to be a new tradition for us.

Thanks to Uncle Brett and Uncle Shaun for heading up the night games. Jaden, Jessie, Jaxon, Lauren and Logan had a blast playing them!

As always, the wind never lets us down! We didn't have any big storms, but we did get the wind and only at night. Check out how hard the camp fire is blowing.

24th Fun, Run, Fireworks and Games
For the 24th of July this year our celebrating started three days before the actual holiday. We started off our festivities with a 5K run through Draper City. Bryan, Kimmi and myself ran the race. There is actually quite a funny story that goes with the race, but you'll have to ask one of the three of us because I'm not putting it on the blog! Anyway, Bryan beat both me and Kimmi by three minutes. Although that was the fastest I have ever run a 5K (35 minutes), I think I was holding Kim back. We fininshed at the same time with our crew of Ty, Jaden, Jessie, Jaxon, Josh, Bentley and Bryan waiting at the finish line!

On the 24th, we celebrated by sitting through a very wet and rainy parade and then we went back to Ric and Jo's for a BBQ, games and fireworks. We played four square and had a great "Jarts" tournament, we even ended up with the missionaries joining our game. It was a blast! Then we did our own fireworks show including about 10 boxes of sparklers and snaps. We had so much fun hanging out with our family, we just love our July 24th traditions!

Cousins Sleepover...For a Whole Week!
We got to watch the Bentley boy for a whole 5 days while Josh and Kim went on a Pioneer Trek. We had soooo much fun. It rained for a couple of days so the kids built a fort in the basement. (Notice the big wheel on top to hold the blankets!) And of course we had popcilces. Actually, we got smart a couple of days into it and had popcicles in the bathtub. That way I wasn't moping the floor 5 times a day. This was also a good trick to get the boys to take a bath even if they weren't ready yet. We also took a trip to the farmers market and then to the grocery store where we learned quickly that baskets are great for little guys. We let Jaxon and Bentley out of the basket for just a minute and the next thing you know, we were running through the produce department trying to catch bags of flying spinach that were being drop kicked. It was great! We had such a good time!

National Champs
Ty and I just took Jaden to the Junior National Dance Competition in Las Vegas. He was amazing! Their group totally pumped it out! They won $125 and received awards including, Top National First Place for their age group with the overall high point award. They got a special judges award entitled.."Rocked The House Award", hummm, imagine that! They also got picked to be in the Star Showcase which is pretty much the best of the best. We couldn't believe it. It was a very entertaining weekend and we had a blast!

Family Camp Out 2007
We just got back from the annual Jones Family Camp Out. It is always so fun. We get to see everyone on my mom's side of the family. This year is was a total blast! Between our always entertaining water fights to the Jonesy family skit to our tutatahtah game to riding the pony song(my personal favorite!) to roasting marshmallows to blowing up things in the fire after the "adults" and little kids go to bed. You might think we are all crazy! Well actually, we are! Here are a few pictures from our eventful weekend.

Race For The Cure...
If someone had told me two months ago that I would run a race and actually run it the whole way without walking, I would have totally laughed out loud. I run from things, not for fun. However, I must say, this was a FUN race! Maybe it's beacuse a bunch of our family ran with me. And my friend Katie and I have been "training" to run the 3.1 mile race! (Ha! Ha!) Of course it was Race For The Cure, so we put our pink in memory of Jan Harrison on our backs. How grateful we all were to be able to let everyone know how much we loved our Aunt Jan and we haven't forgotten about her. I think we are all looking forward to racing again next year!
